You know we can’t get enough of RuPaul’s Drag Race here at Popbytes. In fact, you could say we need to go to Ruhab! (I know, that was terrible, but SHUT UP I COINED IT IT’S MINE.) So to help promote the upcoming All Stars season (premiering in October), Logo released a video of the queens playing word association, and what I took away from this is that Alexis Mateo really doesn’t know anything about politics, Tammie Brown is delightfully insane, and Willam is apparently the new Shangela.
So at first I saw the teaser for RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race — quick side-note here, but is this the final title? Because I can never figure out if the All Stars comes before the Drag Race and whether there needs to be a hyphen or a colon or I’M SO CONFUSED SOMEONE HELP ME — and I was all excited because all my favorite drag queens including Mimi Imfurst are coming back to compete! YAY! But now it turns out the show isn’t coming for another two whole months. RUPAUL! Y U NO AIR DRAG RACE EARLIER?! From Entertainment Weekly …
RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race will premiere Monday, October 22nd, at 9 p.m., followed by the season premiere of behind-the-show series Untucked: All Stars.
The complete list of judges includes both new and returning faces: Kelly Osbourne, Rosie Perez, Ross Matthews, Rachel Hunter, Vickie Lawrence, Busy Phillips, Rachel Dratch, Janice Dickinson, Wendy McClendon-Covey, Elvira, Beth Ditto, and Cheri Oteri.
Details about what the winner will take home have also been revealed: A generous supply of Mac Cosmetics, a trip courtesy of AlandChuck.travel, and a cash prize of $100,000.
I’m actually the most excited about Rachel Dratch being a judge, because if you read her book, Girl Walks Into A Bar, she actually talks about how she’s a Drag Race superfan and that she actually cried because of missing an episode, which makes me feel like Rachel and I might secretly be the same person. Have you ever seen either of us in the same room together? No. No, you haven’t.
